Born to Modify

From Mod Mania

Having existed for approximately one quarter of my life I have to ponder, have I become a sole part of the machine or ‘rapidly developing multi hybrid catalyst’. Am I in existence, yet not interacting other than the pre determined or ‘engineered’ way stipulated would secure me a spot among the many functioning mechanical parts that make up the modern world or ‘engine’ today. With my knowledge I can become a driver and use my surrounds in the fashion I want. In doing so in an out of the ordinary way I may provoke people surrounding me to adopt my ‘way’ as the nominal procedure in relation to said ‘device’.

Having such an alive mind leads me to resort to creativity to off set the repetitive nature of surrounding devices I use in every day life. Having experience and knowledge of use turns me to confront the flaws contained there in. Can this process of opening doors and seeing what lies behind bring forth developments that have not circulated the machine or simply turn the switch and re light a long forgotten traditional operating ‘procedure’?

When another modifier is present old ways are bought to light and can influence how a new age tackles old questions. I learn a lot from ex modifiers surrounding my knowledge sphere. They too were born to modify yet have become a part of the ‘machine’. Unable to continue evolving they return to repetitive behaviour, not through choice have they become what they were inspired by but through creative seldom appearance.

I refuse to sit back and accept that there is never a new approach to an old ‘way’. Tackling issues that the ‘machine’ perceives as a problem therefore comes second nature to the way my brain works. Frustration at a nominated ‘way’ only causes pain to a modifier when they decide to not enact a new procedure that they have resolved would solve the current issue at hand. I cannot become a ‘part’ therefore I want to make a new ‘machine’. Perceiving that there is always a solution to a problem yet never an indefinite one gives a modifier hope that they can make a difference.

Can a ‘part’ be converted through re tooling or will a ‘part’ always remain the property of the ‘machine’? Observing people that can become masters of ‘devices’ I have seen a trend that develops surrounding there creative reasoning. They have the ability to apply ideals that they have seen or used in other worlds. This is the basis that modifiers are born from, they continue to grow in there ‘rapidly developing multi hybrid catalyst’ state until they die.
