From Mod Mania
Welcome to Mod Mania, a home for the modding of objects, systems, and media.
This site hosts mod projects and support information for the Mod Mania Design Studies course at RMIT Industrial Design. The class is a practical and theoretical investigation of modding. Members of the class are asked to identify an existing modding community or practice and undertake a modding project in relation to that community/practice. The student's modding projects can be accessed via the Mod Projects page. A critical understanding of modding and associated cultural theory is developed through class discussion and self-directed student research.
