Firstly I want to say that, this experiment was purely for fun, because I want to play with FIRE!
Nah, the really reason is that I want to do something simple and different, as well as reuse some resources when it doesn’t function what it originally does. So in a way, it is similar to my watch modification.
So this is about to modify a aluminum can and use it as a mini BBQ.
Find a reasonable size can, I would recommend the diameter of the can should be above 100 mm. Make a rectangular hole on the side close to the bottom. About 70 mm above from the bottom, use a nail to make holes on the can and weave thin wire through, inside the can, it look like a spider web. Use a hammer lightly smash the top of the can, make it less round, so when you put the can lid on, the lid won’t drop down.
Basically modification to the can is completed.
Here are other materials you need to prepare: meat, paper, wood and a lighter.
As a start, it needs FIRE. Tear papers into pieces and use the lighter to fire them, and then quickly put them into the can through that bottom rectangular hole. Once the fire is on, put small pieces of wood into the can, on top of that thin layer of wires. Here please let me explain the function of that layer of wire. It is to separate the wood from the paper, it allow more air to go through the can and lastly when the wood finish burning and becomes ash it could drop down to the bottom.. Since the fire is on, you can start BBQ the meat.
When you finish the BBQ, you can use water to put out the fire, or just let it finishe burning the wood.
Here is the food. ENJOY! I need to say that i didn't eat the food, because it wasn't properly cooked and i didn't put any flavor into the meat!
