Mod Computer Chassis

For this assessment task we are required to indentify and research a community group that is formed around a consumer product. My community research is based on modifications on computer case mod and style. Case modification is the change of a computer chassis and something about a video game console chassis. There is a community group that is produced a several of computer casing and mod competition. Firstly, Case mod is activity hobbies and most people use case mode to illustrate a computer’s power for a competition and showing it on internal hardware. Cases may also be modified to improve a computer’s performance and it will be future production.

Therefore, Normal computers case are the first became presented to public and the concept would produced in simple and market required. Also, many of the users saw their own computers are too simple, nasty or dull. Then, computer modification began more popular and some of the users were modifying their own existing chassis and challenging their own skill and idea to build a great design of their own.

Secondly, there is a third party new market of the modified computer cases and accessories began to develop their own business. And, the design would be very styli and various color. There is a website which is called “bit-tech.net”. On this website, there is comment section in which people can contact or give feedback on it of the website. Some of people would give a question on it or ask for help and help each other to fix the problem. And, there is a community which has complete incorporation to Dennis publishing’s London offices and the merger of the bit tech and custom PC magazine teams. On the website, they have rolled out abundance of new features and enhancements such as the staff blogs and the competitions hub. Thought the website, they have explored into the future of the games industry to round-ups that decide what the best gaming keyboards and computer chassis case are. There is some of the best computer chassis mod which is the winner in the competition in to 2009. Also, the teams are going to create the mod of the year competition on 2010. I saw some of the mod on the website; they had different idea to create their own chassis using steel, electrically chromate Coated or aluminum. Also, people would spend an abundance cost on the hardware and motherboard. People would spend a year for modify chassis.

Over hundreds of the computer chassis in bit-tech.net, they have turned out to vote for the favorite project competition ever in the 2009. The project has been great understanding with a photo finish for several positions and great design for the other competitors. There is a winner which is called “Cygnus X1” by Attila Lukacs. Everyone have different tastes on their own computer chassis design and some of that are looks the same. On the “Cygnus X1” computer case is one of the great builds which is simply captivating from every angle and it is beautiful mod than other chassis. Despite the fact of the computer chassis is molding with both skill in aluminum and wood work that produces a fantastic eye candy and functional. From the person, he had created a manufacture process with the picture of the mod project in the website and he also had to comment on his own status and get the feedback form other people as well. Some of the People comment of his status it was saying that is an awesome mod and fantastic work ever but some of the people like other case as well. I just pick one of the project which is the first winner of the project( Figure 01)When I read though the project log of the “Cygnus X1”, (Figure 01) it has given us an understanding of the education in technique, tools, ideas and design. Some of the people on his status would give him a feedback and to give the opinion on it.

From the modification, I found was they were using acrylic to cut and shaped to slide in a lower rail and drill the hole add the two magnets in each rail. The magnets were used for an electrical connection as a method to hold the top panel in place. They also put the LED Light fit on the bottom of the acrylic to make it stable. I found it looks awesome when the lights come off on the top of the panel. From the process of the modification, it looks great and understanding the explanation to the process.

This website is very excited because people would found the nice example of the chassis on their own favorite and create it by their own. These website already have added the process of instructions on it, people just need to follow the process and make their own chassis. There are many computer chassis out there waiting people to modify it and see the great example on this website” Bit-tech.net” and it is a great community to have on it. The Chassis activities were really nice and enjoyable. People would challenge their own skill and give a change on the own chassis put on the website let people to comment on it for the feed back and learn from the mistake. So far of the mod of “Cygnus X1”, it is a great design for me and me loving it so much. I wish I could create a mod computer chassis like that or challenge myself.
