Sock Gloves

Basically I decided to a mini Mod at the same times as doing my big mod, the reason for this is because i need to go out and by more materials for my bigger mod so, i bought these socks with the intention of turning them into gloves, This was done the Day before the supernova pop culture convention so i decided i would wear them seeing as i didn't have a costume this time round.

these socks have the same spotty pattern as the costumes in the music video for the visual kei band Sug's song Dot.0
process
1. first off i got a pair of socks, i chose spotty patterns because lately I'm seeing it more and more often in the visual kei community so i guess it seems to be popular at the moment
2. next i Cut the top part of the sock where the toes usually sit so that my fingers could fit through.
3. then i turned it inside out so that i could create a hem..i think thats what its called, im not good with sewing terms.... the hem was created so that basically the end won't fray and so it actually looks nice.
4. in the next step i cut a slit in the heel part of the sock, this was so that i could fit my thumb through it. after trying it on i noticed that the hole was a bit too big so i went back and sewed the sides a tiny bit.
5. with the sock still on my hand i sewed in between my fingers, to make this appear more like a glove.
basically thats all i did and it turned out quite well i think, even though its quite simple it was quite time consuming.
