The Little Car that Can

From Mod Mania

The Suzuki Mighty Boy

This Little Car as we call it was not only little in size but little in power too ;p All Jokes aside the Suzuki has been around for the best part of half a century with its heritage tracing back to as far as 1955 where the first Suzulight vehicle was manifactured only 43 were created however the actual first mighty boy didnt appear to the early 80s when the 0.543 litre engine developing 19 killowatts of power and 35nm of torque. It dosent sound much now and believe me it wasnt much back then. But for what reason was this car so popular? the main factors surrounding it was the cost for starters and also the cost of running it. practicality was another reason it was so easy to drive and a decent car for all those 12 year olds wanting to drive without holding a playstation or computer controller. What too is amazing is how much of a cult status it has earned in the widespread community, while its no WRX it is fair to say its along the lines in that catergory or as someone qouted a "poormans Rex" with alot less power lol. Suzuki must have had some sleepless nights pondering how this car would sell and who would buy it yet its become a piece of history. You only have to look as far as google and type in mightyboy to see the response and feedback this thing gets......

people have set up dedicated websites and website forums to showcase their finest achievements with this little car www.pimpmymightyboy.com

Its funny how something so small can produce such excitment and attraction to many people for one its a cheap car so if anything backfires youve got no problems and two practically anything and everything can be done to it.

In the end Suzuki proved something that it dosent take turbocharged flat fours and fully sick VL's to have fun and street cred all you need is one open imagination
