This page will document the modification of a mobile phone.
Inspired by the 'resurgence of craft', this project aims to deliver a desirable, functional mobile phone using recycled components. The electronic components will be taken from unwanted second hand mobile phones, and the case made predominately from reclaimed and off-cut timber. I aim to work to an aesthetic not usually found in mobile phones. The term 'Quality' will be at the fore of my mind as I use traditional woodworking techniques and durable materials to create a phone with an appeal that will last beyond the next feature-packed release.
