Here is my project that I found using Quartz composer and a Peggy 2.0 which has been modified to take a serial port connection. A custom Quartz composer plugin is then required to display the video or texts. It looks pretty fun and interesting. A peggy is basically a light emitting pegboard (LED) quick and easy way to drive a lot of LEDs; up to 625, in a big matrix covering almost a square foot of area.
