From Physical Programming
The Physical Programming class in week 8 (September 16th) will introduce you to basic electronics and soldering. To participate in this class you will need to purchase the items listed below. These items can be purchased from Jaycar 45 A'Beckett Street.
In addition to these items, please bring safety glasses to this class.
PC Prototype Board
PC Boards Vero Type Strip - 95mm x 76mm. $4.50 each.
We will cut this board into smaller pieces - one board may be shared by 4 students.
If Jaycar have sold out of this board, get the larger 95 x 152mm PC Board. $7.95 each - 6 students can share this board.
Or, alternatively, get the Universal Pre-Punched Experimenters Board - available in Small, Medium, or Large.
Header Pins
28 Pin Header Terminal Strip. $0.85 each.
We will cut this strip into smaller pieces - one strip may be shared by 4 students.
PCB Screw Terminal
Either of the following terminals will suit - each student will need 2 terminals.
3 Way 5.08mm Weidmuller PCB Mount Screw Terminal. $1.55 each.
OR
3 Way PCB Mount Screw Terminal - 5mm Pitch. $1.55 each.

You may also wish to buy a breadboard for easy prototyping of your final project. The model below is a convenient size for use with the Arduino.
Mini Breadboard - 300 holes. $9.95 each.
