Quartz Composer

From Physical Programming

I quite enjoying work on Quartz, just because of the program interface and how the results are easily to view. Unlike working on Arduino and Arduino IDE, the circuits and electronics have to be right and also as the programs so the result of the work shown.

It's a lot easier to get the audio input into the program, add VDO, images, etc.

I used audio input as a main input for this one. the sounds activated the movie file to run in different rendering styles and rates.

Pretty cool how they got Audio Processor to separates the Audio Input into LOW-MID-HIGH.

In this project I used renderers such as Particle System, Psychedelic, Line Family. Put them all together and adjust the settings

If you wanna give it a try you need these files

Quartz File---------Media:dancedance.zip VDO File------------media:dancedances.zip

(the VDO file isn't that important, just replace the VDO Input with one of yours)

Then I thought that using just VDO Input and Pre-made Renderers and effects aren't enough so I started to build one with stuff that I made from scratch. Looks kinda like this.

I tried using different Cubes to represents the sounds separately from each other. Also added some more effects on the keyboard buttons to play around with. As well as Motion sensor, which can be use when effects buttons are pressed. (Mac Laptop is needed in order to make this function works)
