S3238680 WARWICK PERRIN PURE DATA PATCH

TITLE: AIR-BALL

The idea behind this patch is the use of sound (in this case, a filter on white noise) to be used with the visuals. With my knowledge of creating a sphere and making it move about the screen, I decided to play with the idea of adding sound. however, because we were only taught very breifly how to use sound in class, i decided to goto a website for help.

using a patch from http://en.flossmanuals.net/PureData/Filters I could then manipulate the sound to my advantage, in this case, creating a wind sound with a band filter pass over the top to act as if the wind is increasing and decreasing.

TO START: BEFORE STARTING, CHANGE THE VALUE OF SPHERE SIZE TO -15 SO THAT THE SPHERE DOES NOT BLOW OFF THE SCREEN. To Start, press 'q' to open GemWin. goto Media and select AUDIO ON use the mouse in the top left area of the screen. as you move the mouse down, the ball is blown by the wind. when mouse is moved to the top of the screen, the wind stops and ball is motionless.
