Soothsayers, 2018

Soothsayers was developed for ‘Why Listen to Plants?’, a Liquid Architecture project curated by Danni Zuvela, RMIT Design Hub.

The work uses three radio receivers to explore the electromagnetic spectrum within the installation at the RMIT Design Hub. The three radio antennas reference the sites past and current uses; a 50m copper tape line runs the length of the Design Hub project room collecting radio signals from the building’s operation; a stalk of Feather Spear-grass references the sites pre-colonial past; and a crushed can of Carlton Draught from 1987, the year the CUB brewery closed its doors at this site.
