Reassembled
– no change in condition
Update:
– replaced HD connector with know working item
– iPod operates normally, must be fault with connector
Report:
probably a failed logic board. Faulty HD connector.
Notes:
there was a lot of grit/dirt inside the ipod, this may have caused the problem
