Report:
Unable to diagnose cause of problem.
Problem prevents the use of the “menu” button to go backward through the menu system, does not allow the iPod to be placed in sleep mode by holding down the “play” button, and on occasions stops iPod from responding to the scroll function of the click-wheel. This problem is intermittent and is not usually present when iPod has been dormant for some time.
As a workaround control can usually be regained by flicking the “hold” button on and off while pressing the desired button.
Notes:
The iSOP does not currently have any other iPod mini’s with which to test the components of this iPod. This situation may change and the iPod may be left for further investigation.

Is this the standard way that technicians do their log if somebody asked them to repair an ipod? Or it differs from each and every technician? Also can they provide a copy of this to their customers?
