Connected iPod to Mac
– iPod boots to “do not disconnect”
– iPod appears on desktop
– iPod appears in iTunes
Connected iPod to PC
– iPod appears in task bar
– iPod appears in “My Computer” folder
– iPod appear in iTunes
Restored iPod using iTunes
– restore process completes successfully
Report:
iPod was restored with the latest PC operating system.
iPod appears to be fully functional.
Notes:
If the problem persists then it is probably an issue with the PC/Windows install. If the iPod is visible as a device in the task bar then double click the device icon and check the device properties; if there is an error in accessing the device then this may give a description of the fault.
